After a brief stint working for an MNC, he founded CAMS (Computer Age Management Services Pvt. Ltd.) in 1988 – and ran it till he exited recently – to provide a Stock Exchange like Platform to the Indian Mutual Fund industry.CAMS is the largest company in its space in India, with a market share of 68%, and is also one of the largest of its kind in the world. It has now become a professionally managed listed entity.
In the session Mr. Shankar, gave an insight on the journey of the Indian startups and the ecosystem itself. He highlighted how the Indian startups can take benefits from the TiE India Angels in terms of getting funding, network connects with angel investors or venture capitalist.
